So, we just got back from playing The Rock Spot in Lansing. After that night, we can assure you that we will NEVER play there again. Of course, being a new venue they made all the rookie mistakes. They book all out of town bands, tell us three different starting times, charge $5-$10 cover, and don't pay out any bands until after THEY can take $250 out of the door. As if that isn't enough money for them, they think $4 a beer is a good price. Not to mention the shitty sound. We will play any show for anyone at any time because we simply like to play. We don't need beer specials and perfect sound and have everything go our way to put on a good show. But when a venue shows so much greed and no support to bands that drove from all over the state to play their venue is bullshit. We should have known that the Rock Spot would be so shady when we pull up and its connected to a strip club. So, if you are in a band and want to play Lansing, we highly suggest that you find other venues than the Rock Spot.THE
